Short Bio
Dr. Betts is a Senior Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he serves as the Material Science Project Manager for Dr. Joseph DeSimone. He received his BS degree from Vanderbilt University (1993) and his doctorate degree in organic/polymer science from UNC-CH (1998). He has nine years of industrial experience in polymer synthesis and specialty coating materials and is a named author on over 15 articles and seven patents. Dr. Betts specializes in polymer science with a recent focus on the management of material science projects dealing with micron and nano-sized particle and pattern replication in polymers and inorganic materials.
