Bionanotechnology II

Conference
Wednesday, January 7, 2009 to Friday, January 9, 2009

From biomolecular assembly to applications: A particular aspect of nanotechnology is its interface with the biological sciences, which has been dubbed ‘bionanotechnology’. This emerging discipline draws on biological inspiration and provides new tools to investigate biological systems with unprecedented resolution and input. Despite its impact on the biological sciences, nanotechnology has been largely driven by the physical science and engineering and we feel it’s now timely to engage life scientists in this exciting and rapidly developing area. Topics include the industrial applications of self-assembly.
