Lynn L. Bergeson,
Managing Partner of Bergeson &
Campbell, P.C. (B&C®), and an internationally
renowned expert on issues of governance,
regulation, and policy regarding nanotechnology,
biotechnology, and other emerging transformative
technologies, will share her insight and analysis
regarding existing and emerging governance tools in
the U.S., Canada, and Europe, in the following areas:

  • Environmental (media specific -- air, water, and
    waste);

  • Product safety (consumer product and product
    liability);

  • Product-specific (industrial, agricultural, and
    biocide); and

  • Workplace protection (workers, ambient air, and
    health and safety standards).

Ms. Bergeson will highlight governance methods
relating to nanotechnology chemical applications in
specific products, such as food contact materials,
cosmetics, and medical devices, and explore
nanotechnology governance approaches that are due
to become operational in 2015 and beyond.
