Two Calls for Abstracts on Nanotechnology for Environmental Remediation

National Nanomanufacturing Network:  The Environmental Institute at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Groundwater Resources Association of California have both issued calls for abstracts for two upcoming events on nanotechnology and the environment.

The Nanotechnology for Envrionmental Cleanup and Pollution Control (Science, Implementation and Regulatory Issues) Symposium will take place on November 3, 2009, in Burlingame, California. Organizers are seeking abstracts from academic, consulting, and regulatory agencies that detail the latest research in areas such as groundwater remediation, surface water treatment and pollution control, and delivery and application methods of nanomaterials for water treatment. The deadline for abstracts is August 1, 2009.

The International Conference on Green Remediation: Environment, Energy, Economics will take place from June 15-17, 2010, in Amherst, Massachusetts. Organizers are accepting contributions on all areas of green and sustainable remediation, from basic to applied research. Abstracts are encouraged that address topics such as sustainable remediation technologies, water and energy use and efficiency, best management practices, and cost and performance studies. The deadline for presentation abstracts is November 1, 2009.
