Use of InterNano and its services is subject to the following Terms of Use Agreement. By using this website, you acknowledge and agree to the terms as set forth.

Description of Services

InterNano is a networking and information clearinghouse website for the nanomanufacturing community. As such, the services it provides include a search engine, directory of researchers and research laboratories, calendar and discussion forums, in addition to original resources. Content provided by these services is a combination of collected content, user-generated content, and original content.

Copyright

All original content on InterNano, including the web design and logos of InterNano and the National Nanomanufacturing Network, is the intellectual property of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Anyone may view, copy and print documents within this website for informational, personal and noncommercial purposes only. Anyone wishing to reproduce, distribute, display or license InterNano original content for other than informational, personal and noncommercial purposes may do so only with the permission of the University.

The University of Massachusetts is not responsible for the accuracy or lawfulness of any user-generated or collected information, nor does the University of Massachusetts Amherst endorse any materials found on linked or collected web pages. These services are provided as a convenience to users. Content presented on InterNano as part of search services or external links may refer to material that is protected by intellectual property rights owned by another person or entity.

InterNano is supported in part by the National Science Foundation. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed on this website are those of the intellectual property owners and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation.

 Acceptable Use

You agree to use InterNano is a manner that is both legal and ethical. You may not use InterNano to post, transmit, or otherwise distribute unlawful material, including but not limited to pornographic material, defamatory statements, threats or unauthorized copyrighted material.

You agree to use the networking services offered by InterNano, including the directory, calendar and discussion forums, in a manner that is consistent with the above. You agree that you will not use InterNano networking services to:

  • post any unsolicited promotional or advertising materials
  • use email addresses found on InterNano to transmit any surveys, contests, chain letters, or duplicative or unsolicited messages of any kind that are not legitimately related to InterNano
  • post or publish any unlawful, threatening, libelous, harassing, profane, defamatory, obscene or otherwise inappropriate material
  • create a false identity or impersonate other parties or entities
  • falsify, damage, or delete any copyrighted materials posted on InterNano
  • post any material that violates the intellectual property rights of another party or entity

In addition, you agree not to use InterNano in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair InterNano or its servers. You may not use any tools or programs to deliberately compromise the security or functionality of InterNano and its users, including posting any content that contains a software virus.

Limits of Liability

InterNano, its services and content, are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind that services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful computer code. You agree that the University of Massachusetts, its agents, or anyone else involved in the creation, production, or delivery of InterNano shall have no liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use of this website.

Privacy

The University of Massachusetts Amherst is committed to preserving and maintaining the privacy of visitors to InterNano. When you access InterNano, your visit is not tracked by any personally identifiably information. Any personal information obtained during registration process is used to support your use of InterNano only. Usage statistics are collected for reporting purposes. No personally identifiably information is provided to reporting agencies.

Any personal information posted on InterNano, in the Directory, Forums or Calendar, is available to all other users of InterNano. The University of Massachusetts Amherst disclaims any responsibility or capability for the preservation of confidentiality of such information.

Modification of Agreement
