Heliatek was spun-off in 2006 from the Technical University of Dresden (IAPP) and the University of Ulm. The company’s founding brought together internationally renowned expertise in the fields of organic optoelectronics and organic oligomer synthesis.

Our mission is to become the leading United States-based developer and manufacturer of advanced, safe, high-performance Very large Format (VLF) lithium batteries for utility energy storage, EVs, and specialized industrial and military applications.

Our primary focus is to serve the stationary power and transportation market segments in North America, Europe and Asia.

Envia Systems was founded in July 2007, and its headquarters are located in Newark, CA, which houses its materials innovation lab and a pilot production facility for fabrication of battery materials. Its cell prototyping and manufacturing plant is located in Jiaxing, China. The company’s management team has decades of experience in lithium battery development and manufacturing, which it has leveraged to develop its patented nanocomposite technology that enables its batteries to deliver previously unattainable levels of energy capacity, safety and life.

Metamateria provides innovative high performance materials for the energy, environmental and infrastructure markets, with a special emphasis on the use of nanomaterials.

Nanoptics is an innovative specialist optical technologies equipment and process company, founded in 2008. We developed new technology to bring our partners to the desired capability position - to replicate optical, functional micro and nano structures on Roll2Roll equipment at the ultimate levels of quality and speed.

HyperSolar is developing a breakthrough technology to produce renewable natural gas using sunlight, water and carbon dioxide. This renewable natural gas is a clean, carbon neutral methane gas that can be used as a direct replacement for traditional natural gas to power the world, without drilling or fracking, while mitigating CO2 emissions. Inspired by the photosynthetic processes that plants use to effortlessly harness the power of the Sun to create energy molecules, we are developing a novel solar-powered nanoparticle system that mimics photosynthesis to separate hydrogen from water.
